Meredith Greene describes herself as “Writer for Belator Books. Novelist. Wife. Mother.”
Literature, natural history and hilarity all wrapped up in a rich, pleasant layer of memory.
Written about his family’s 5-year sojourn to the Island of Corfu in pre-WW2 Greece. Rampant eccentricity and colorful word-pictures of life, locals and scenery. Prepare to laugh hard; do not drink liquids while reading.

I LOVED this book when I read it as a child – still have fabulous images in my head. If I could recommend one book for children it would have to be Elizabeth Goudge The Little White Horse; for adults Rebecca, Daphne du Maurier, and for modern readers The Ghosts of Belfast (US edition of The Twelve) Stuart Neville. That’s three so I’ve failed the challenge. Each one resonates with me every day, have clear images of Maria Merriweather’s star studded circular bedroom with that little fireplace, and the geraniums in the glass house over the stables; the roses in the grounds of Manderlay; and a moment in a bathroom when the whole world shifted 10 degrees left (The Twelve/Ghosts of Belfast)
I read Durrell at school but never returned as an adult. As for you three choices why not submit all three? I won’t tell if you don’t!
